As a parent...

I want my child to succeed and I will be supportive. Ran into a parent waiting/ wanting her kid to fail so she can rub his nose in it. I don't get it. 

Maybe someone else's failure is an ego boost? 

It's just strange. I guess I never thought a parent would be like that.

 Yup, I support my kids without enabling. And I never wish them anything but success:)
